Description
The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant greets visitors, answers phones and provides general administrative support. This individual must be professional and polished and will complete projects under minimum supervision.  Additionally, this position requires a high level of energy, accuracy and attention to detail in completing assigned work.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 
Respond to and perform a variety of functions including:
 
  • Greet visitors, directing them to the correct destination
  • Manage the reception desk, maintain visitor logs and distribute visitor badges
  • Answer, screen and direct phone calls
  • Provide relevant information to callers
  • Prepare letters and documents
  • Receive and sort mail and deliveries
  • Assist with event meeting setup, catering and cleanup
  • Maintain conference rooms and schedule meetings
  • Maintain stock supplies and copy paper; submit order requests as needed
  • Stock the kitchen daily and maintain break room inventories
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support
  • Assist other departments as needed
  • Must have regular, punctual and consistent attendance
  • Other duties as assigned
 
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
 
Qualifications sought in successful candidates include:
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree is preferred
  • Experience in an office services environment with a professional demeanor
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer programs, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SharePoint is a plus
  • Ability to minimize work times used for personal business
  • A willingness to take on additional responsibilities and challenges

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
 
This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
 
  • Use of a PC, fax, computer terminal and/or telephone up to 8 hours a day
  • Open workspace office environment
  • Overtime may be required
